Purposeful Delegation

If your workload feels overwhelming then delegation is a viable and probably overdue option.

This does not mean that you are not capable or ineffective. It just may be that your workload is too much. Beware of the employer that comes to you with this attitude.

Prioritize your projects/responsibilites and or tasks and politely review that list. Let them know that you can do these projects however it will impact the success or timely completion of other tasks. They can then determine what is the priority in terms of completion.

Tip For Success

Do not think of delegation as dumping work. If you think of it that way, whomever you delegate tasks and projects to may feel that way also.

They will not feel trusted, they will most likely just feel used. That will most likely influence their efforts.
