Personal Training and Development for 2024

Have you considered the type of training you would like to receive in 2024?

We will become a very limited resource for others in our leadership capacity, if we do not continue to learn and grow personally and professionally.

No one is strong in every area and that is okay. We can work on increasing our skills which will usually lead to improvements.

In ministry the desire is to appear as if we have it all together. That attitude is rooted in fear. Fear of embarrassment, exposure of lack of knowledge, insecurity and or pride.

How to Select the Type of Training You Need:

Consider areas that you know are not strengths in your leadership role and seek opportunities for training in those areas. If you think you do not know…ask others. People who will be honest and kind. Do not ask people that are tactless, mean, have a bad attitude or are jealous of you or your role.

I have listed a few areas below that are usually needed by ministery leaders.

Work-life balance

Prayer

Time management

Handling conflict

Setting boundaries

Project management

Registering for Your Course and Next Steps

1. Obtain authorization to attend the training if required.

2. Submit required paperwork to administration for payment to the course provider.

3. Register now or the training if it is open for registration.

4. Create your out of office notifications in advance for the course dates.

5. Set a reminder in your planner to register in 2024 if you are unable to register now.

6. Notify your second in command of these dates as soon as possible so they can plan accordingly.
