How Are You Listening?

If we only listen with the intention to instruct others, we will not hear.

1. Are you working on something else while somone is sharing need to know information with you?

2. Are you making note of any feedback that may improve your performance?

3. Can you basically repeat what you were just told?

4. Are you listening to the content and not focused on if you like the person sharing the information?

5. Are you just waiting for them to stop talking and not really focused on listening, so that you can respond?

If you honestly answer these questions, they may provide clues that can help you minimize strife and confusion.
